Faison's double-double lands him Liga MB Player of the Week award

27-year old shooting guard Marcus Faison (196-SG-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for Nejapa and receives a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 25.
He had a double-double of 36 points and 20 rebounds, while his team lost the game against San Salvador (#1, 19-1) 93-108. Nejapa maintains the 11th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 15 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Faison had a remarkable 70.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Nejapa, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Salem State College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Faison is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 17.9rpg) and averages solid 55.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Marc Montavious (206-C-1990) of top-ranked San Salvador. He is American center in his first season at San Salvador. In the last game Montavious recorded impressive double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led San Salvador to another comfortable win 108-93 over the lower-ranked Nejapa (#11, 3-15) being unquestionably team leader. Of course San Salvador still keep the league's top spot. His team belongs to top of the standings with 19-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Montavious is one of the most experienced players at San Salvador and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jose Liriano (189-G-1998) of Santa Tecla (#3). Liriano scored 28 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was a key player of Santa Tecla, leading his team to a 112-84 easy win against the lower-ranked Santiagueno (#7, 8-12). Santa Tecla needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 4 lost games. Liriano has a great season in El Salvador. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.5ppg (9th best).
